Breaking Changes

  • Selecting too many field definitions for dashboard widgets can heavily affect application performance when fetching data. Much of this data is not accessible because of physical limitations of screen size so we have taken the decision to limit the number of field definitions selected to a maximum of 25. Existing dashboards will not automatically be updated but this additional validation will be applied when they are next saved.

  • The configuration on AdBuilder will now require a template to always be selected to determine which fields are displayed on the modal. We will no longer auto-select the name field.

  • Encode New AdBuilder - We are pleased to introduce our new and updated online editor to support your web-to-print content. Export your templates directly from InDesign and convert them into editable templates linked directly into Encode Content Hub (your custom-built DAM and/ or PIM solution based on our low-code platform). These purposely built templates can ensure brand guidelines while allowing anyone to print or download content anytime from the browser without any plugins. Read more about this functionality here

  • Enhanced Image Cropping -  We have also extended support for our image cropping tool to support rotation while also ensuring the resulting downloaded or saved file maintains dpi. Supported for JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG and WEBP file formats only in item form and in AdBuilder. Read more about this functionality here

  • Support Help Text against all field types - Our citizen developers will now have the possibility to configure custom help text against all field types. 

  • Extend velocity engine - We have extended supported syntax within Encode actions where the template engine is defined as velocity to allow for obtaining changed values. 

Bug Fixes

  • Fix to menu elements to ensure that the name is not automatically capitalised
