Disable Comment Replies - We now support two set-ups depending on your customer needs - with or without replies. Comment replies can now be disabled for customers that consider that individual, isolated notes are better suited for their workflow. The existing functionality of replies is still available for customers when required. Read more about this functionality in our guides.
Improved Proofing Commenting - Following customer feedback we are pleased to introduce a number of usability improvements to the comment/replies to make the panel clearer and more user friendly.
Smart Comment Scrolling - To improve user experience in Encode Proofing when comparing two file versions the comments panel will now automatically focus any comments added to the current page across both files to allow for collaborators to easily identify whether actions have been resolved. This behaviour is supported for PDF and MS Office documents.
Adjust Comment Colour - Our customers often have internal and external review cycles where some comments should be restricted to a particular group of users. At Encode we manage this through access right colours assigned to a comment. To date, once a comment has been added to Encode Proofing there was no way for our customers to adjust colour and make the comment visible to a different audience. To simplify this process and reduce the time and effort we have now introduced the ability to be able to change the comment colour after initial creation. Changing the colour of the comment will also change the colour associated with any replies. Read more about this functionality in our guides.
Export Proofing Comments as text - You can now download proofing comments and annotations to an offline text file available for all supported file types. Read more about this functionality in our guides
Comment Activity Log - When viewing comments and annotations within Encode Proofing you can now 'View Change Log' to access a full timeline of changes applied to the selected comment. Read more about this functionality in our guides.
