Fields "Created By", "Created Date", "Last Modified Date" and "Last Modified By" are created by default in the modules with the following templates:
With Preconfigured Media Settings and Audit Fields
Without Media Settings and with Audit Fields
With Preconfigured File Area Settings and Audit Fields
so, there is no need to created them manually.
Note! It is required to enable User Management Module in the site in order to create the modules with default fields.

All fields from the list above can be also created, updated or deleted manually as all other regular fields.
Limitations:
"Last Modified By" field Cannot be converted to the module link (it does not appear in the User Field Conversion list);
"Last Modified By" field becomes empty if item was updated by system (scheduled import job, create/update action etc.);
"Last Modified Date" and "Last Modified By" fields are updated even if fields content was not really changed (for example, after clicking on "Save" button in item info sheet in Classic UI without any changes)
