Overview

The Bar Chart Widget allows you to present your data in a bar or column chart format, categorised and aggregated for easy visual comparison. It's useful for spotting trends or comparing values, such as the number of tasks by status.

Understanding Bar Charts

Once a Bar Chart Widget has been configured, it will appear on the Workspace. Users with Creator, Co-owner, or Editor permissions can drag and drop the widget to reposition and resize it as needed.

To enhance readability when working with large data sets, Bar Charts include a "rest" bar. This bar automatically groups together data points that exceed a defined threshold, helping to keep the chart clear and easy to interpret.

The "rest" bar provides a concise overview of the data while still allowing users to explore detailed insights when needed.

This widget supports manual data refresh via the refresh button, available regardless of auto-refresh settings. During refresh, the button is disabled until loading completes. Auto-refresh (if enabled) resumes after a successful manual refresh unless performance thresholds are exceeded. Note: The “last updated” timestamp is not updated when data is refreshed via the widget configuration page or by creating/updating an item within the widget.
