Overview

The Set as Home option allows users to personalise their landing page in Encodify. A user can designate either a Workspace or a Module as their Home view. Once set, this becomes the default page displayed upon login.

Understanding Set as Home Logic

The logic that determines the user's landing page is as follows:

  1. Default Behaviour (No Home Set)

    1. If the user has not set a Home preference:

      • If they have visited a workspace, they will be directed to their last accessed workspace.

      • If they haven’t visited any workspace, they will be directed to the first available workspace.

      • If no workspaces are available, they will be taken to the empty workspace page.

    2. If the user has no workspaces but has modules:

      1. If they have visited a module, they will land on the last accessed module.

      2. If they haven’t visited a module, they will land on the empty workspace page.

  2. Workspace Set as Home

    1. If a workspace is set as Home, the user will always be directed to that workspace on login.

    2. If the workspace set as Home is archived or deleted:

      • Attempt to direct the user to their last accessed workspace.

      • If no other workspaces are available, the user will be taken to the empty workspace page.

  3. Module Set as Home

    1. If a module is set as Home, the user will always be directed to that module on login.

    2. If the module set as Home is deleted:

      • Attempt to direct the user to their last accessed workspace.

      • If no workspaces are available, the user will be taken to the empty workspace page.

Managing Home Settings

When a Workspace or Module is marked as Home, the Set as Home option will be replaced by Clear Home, allowing users to remove their preference and revert to the default behaviour.
