Understanding Bulk Delete / Inactivate

Overview

Bulk Delete / Inactivate allows users to remove or temporarily inactivate multiple items in Encodify at once. This is useful for managing outdated, duplicate or irrelevant records without handling each item individually. By streamlining the process, Bulk Delete / Inactivate saves time, reduces manual effort, and helps maintain a clean and organised module.

Whether an item is deleted or simply inactivated is controlled by a setting in the Module Settings.

Understanding Bulk Delete / Inactivate

Note: A user will need to have Read, Delete and Bulk Delete access to be able to delete or inactivate an item.

Where to find Bulk Delete / Inactivate

Bulk Operations allow you to perform actions on multiple items simultaneously, directly from a workspace or module view. To get started, select the items you want to work with. Once selected, the Bulk Operations toolbar will appear at the top of the screen.

If the module is configured to inactivate items before removal, each item must first be inactivated using the Inactivate button. Only after inactivation will the Delete button become available in the same toolbar.
