Breaking Changes

  • Before upgrading to version 10.0 please keep in mind that it is not possible to have more than one app of the same type on new ui (dashboard). Meaning that if you have, for example, more than one Hours app in the site on Site Configuration > Apps tab, only one of them will be available on Dashboard > App configuration (first in the list). So we highly recommend to check what apps are available in classic UI configuration page before upgrading to version 10, as Apps menu is no longer available on classic UI so you will not be able to choose between them.

  • 'Label on New Button' within Menu Element configuration will now be respected for button label. This means for all clients upgrading to 10 onwards will need to have this configured accordingly

  • After upgrading ICU4J library and JDK to 17 - date representation for some locale changed. For example: dd MMM y HH:mm:ss - for locale en-GB (United Kingdom), before - 25 Sep 2020 20:00:00, after 25 Sept 2020 20:00:00 

  • The display of dates for new UI and classic UI will slightly differ. For example: 25 Sep 2020 20:00:00 in New UI and 25 Sept 2020 20:00:00 in classic UI, API, export etc

  • ICC Profile settings have been removed from Media File Holder Settings. "Keep metadata" setting in Media Converters will define if ICC Profile will be attached or removed. It will not be possible to attach the ICC Profile other than the one used in conversion or strip ICC Profile while keeping XMP metadata.

  • Enhanced Proofing Experience - Following customer feedback we have applied a number of improvements to the layout of buttons within the proofing top bar including repositioning the single view and compare view button and making it more obvious when sync navigation is enabled or disabled.

  • Improved behaviour of adding comments - Following customer feedback we are pleased to introduce a number of usability improvements to adding new and editing existing comments. 

  • Toggle to Hide/Show all Comments - When you are working on a large file, especially the first draft, you will often have a large number of comments added by internal and external review and approvals. With many annotations it can start to become difficult to view the file preview. To better support our customers in filtering through all the comments to be able to undertake their own detail review we have introduced the option for users to hide all comments in addition to our previously released comment filtering. 

  • Lock Proofing - Gain greater control of when files are open for review and commenting based on item status. When a proof is locked all users will be prevented from adding any further comments, replies or annotations.

  • Visualise your Site Data Model  Screenshot_2020-10-09_at_13.52.41.png - Allowing our citizen developers to easily gain an understanding of site configuration by providing a simplified diagram that visualises module data and field dependencies.

  • Improvements to Menu Element Wizard - We have extended Menu Element Wizard (MEW) to allow for the proofing icon to be displayed on item information screen when configured. 

  • Events App - Easily gain an overview of special events like Black Friday by displaying them on your Marketing Activity Calendar or calculate the full timeline of a project with the newly introduced Events App allowing the automatic calculation of dates to take into consideration non-working days. 

  • Extend Encode Inbox - Following customer feedback and to make it easier to understand the brief description we have extended Encode Inbox to ensure that formatting applied within an email client is maintained after being imported into a rich-text field.

  • Extend Background Jobs Queue - We have now extended support of our background jobs queue to allow greater visibility over the success of additional process including generating Creative Automation Studio output items and exporting module data. In addition you can now filter the background jobs to easily identify In Progress; Failed; Completed; Expired jobs.

  • Fixed issue preventing users to be able to bulk delete items 

  • Fixed issue preventing users bulk uploading items in some cases

  • Fixed issue whereby in 'Media' view preview for image files were not displayed

    are not collapsed when switching between next or previous items

  • Fixed issue to ensure that field module links respect order from module settings of linked module

  • Fixed issue to ensure when there are no To, CC or BCC contacts listed within email then they fail without trying to resend to minimise the exceptions with system logs

  • Fixed issue to ensure user is redirected to entered URL when clicking link before item is saved

  • Fixed issue to ensure letter case can be changed for Division/Title

  • Fixed issue for execute task for date fields not respecting internationalisation causing the date to shift -1 day

  • Fixed issue to ensure users without site administration rights should not have access to user switching functionality

  • Fixed issue whereby editing text in a rich text field was very slow

  • Fixed issue whereby ICC profile was not being embedded within the file when specified within Media File Holder Settings 

  • Fixed issue whereby images with transparent background did not display a checkerboard making it impossible to view content when white
