What is a Workspace Widget?

Workspace Widgets are the building blocks of your workspace in Encodify. Each widget provides a focused way to display, interact with, or take action on key data from across your solution. You can configure and arrange widgets to create personalised workspaces that support your specific workflows.

The supported widget types are:

  • Button Widget - Enables you to trigger specific actions directly from your workspace, such as creating a new item, navigating to a module, opening a URL, or linking to another workspace. Ideal for quick access to frequently used actions.

  • Card Widget - Similar to the Button Widget, but allows you to present the action within a visual card that includes an uploaded image or icon, offering a more engaging and branded experience.

  • Header Widget - Lets you create visually distinctive section headers to organise your workspace. You can also add shortcut links to help users navigate between key areas with ease.

  • Text Widget - Allows you to add free-form text within your workspace. Useful for inserting instructions, contextual notes, or guidance to support users as they interact with the workspace.

  • Divider Widget - Visually separates different sections of your workspace, improving clarity and layout. Particularly helpful when multiple widgets are present.

  • Number Widget - Displays a single aggregated metric, such as a count, sum, or average, based on data from selected items and fields. Ideal for surfacing KPIs or summary figures.

  • Bar Chart Widget - Presents your data in bar or column chart format, categorised and aggregated for visual comparison. Useful for spotting trends or comparing values, such as the number of tasks by status.

  • Spreadsheet Widget - This widget offers a familiar, Excel-like interface, presenting your data in a clear table format. It supports filtering by column header, sorting and inline editing, making it easy to update information quickly and efficiently.

  • Calendar Widget -  Displays your data in a calendar layout, ideal for visualising time-based elements such as deadlines, events, scheduled tasks, or milestones. Helps teams stay coordinated and aware of upcoming priorities.
