What is a Module View?
Module views are the foundation for how you visualise your underlying data within Encodify. Each view type offers a unique way to explore, organise and manage your data depending on the context and your specific needs. The supported view types are:
Spreadsheet View - This view offers a familiar, Excel-like interface, presenting your data in a clear table format. It supports filtering by column header, sorting and inline editing making it easy to update information quickly and efficiently.
Split View - This view enables you to browse a list of items on one side of the screen while simultaneously viewing the full details of a selected item on the other. It’s especially useful when reviewing or updating individual records in context of the broader dataset.
Gallery View - This view will showcase items as visual cards, perfect for highlighting attached files such as images, videos or documents. Its particularly effective when the visual content of an item is essential to understanding or decision-making.
Kanban View - This view allows you to visualise workflows or status categories by displaying items as draggable cards organised into columns and optional swimlanes. It's an intuitive way to track progress and move items between different stages of a process.
Timeline View - This view allows you to visualise key dates for your items on a horizontal timeline providing a high-level overview of deadlines, start dates or other time-based events.
Timeline 2.0 View - This view allows for a more advanced visualisation of key dates while visualising their interdependencies. This view is excellent for managing complex projects where understanding relationships and sequencing is critical to delivery
What is an Item View?
Item views are the foundation for how you add and interact with data within a specific module in Encodify. Each view type offers a unique way to capture, review, and edit item details, ensuring the data entry experience is tailored to your workflow and business requirements. The supported view types are:
Form with Tabs - This view displays item information and related data organised into separate tabs. Its ideal for structuring complex forms into manageable sections, improving clarity and user navigation.
Wizard Form - This view presents the form as a sequence of logical, numbered steps. It guides the user through the required process, ensuring that each section is completed and reviewed before proceeding. This step-by-step approach helps increase data accuracy and ensures that no critical information is missed.
