Mail properties settings define global configuration of the "Send" functionality in the system.
Normally stored in the webapp.yaml file, settings can be overwritten on the database level if the corresponding feature flag is enabled.
By default, override of the mail properties is disabled, and the Mail Configuration page in System Configuration > Properties > Mail Properties is displayed as read-only.

With the "Override with Database Settings" enabled, mail properties can be overridden and saved in the database.
The "Reset to Defaults" button will reset any modifications done to the mail properties in webapp.yaml.

Note! The "Sender Email" and "Sender Name" properties in mails sent are applied as "From" attribute, while same properties in "Send Email" action configuration are applied as "Reply to" attribute.
Mail Configuration Test ( available from version 14.0.0)
With the decommissioning of sending emails from User list, a new functionality of 'Mail Configuration Test' is implemented in System Configuration > Properties > Mail Properties.
This allows the site administrators to test whether emails are sending from the webapp.
