# [WIP] Keyboard shortcuts

When navigating Encodify New UI it responds to keyboard navigation to make the site more accessible.

| #### Keyboard Shortcut | #### Place in the system | #### Functionality |

| Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Left arrow | Item Full View, Item Split View | To go to the previous item in the list |
| Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Right arrow | Item Full View, Item Split View | To go to the next item in the list |
| Esc | ‘Are you sure...’ pop-ups, Item Info modal opened from the Kanban View | To close modal without taking any action |
| Tab | ‘Are you sure...’ pop-ups | To move focus to links and buttons, if no. of buttons >1 |
| Tab | Spreadsheet View, Timeline View, Item View | To move focus to the next field |
| Enter or Spacebar | ‘Are you sure...’ pop-ups | To activate the button currently in focus |
| Shift + Enter | Spreadsheet, Timeline view | To add line break in text area fields |
| Enter | RTE opened from Spreadsheet, Timeline, MEW, CAS | To open editor |
| Esc | To close editor |
| Ctrl+S (Win) or Command+S (Mac) | To save changes |
