# Add events to Timeline 2.0

## How to display Events on Timeline 2.0

When using the Events App, you can extend Timeline 2.0 to display events. To enable this feature, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the specific module.
2. Open the **View Selector** dropdown
3. Locate the specific **Timeline 2.0 View**
4. In the action menu, click **Edit View**.
5. Find the **Use Event App** option and ensure it is enabled.
6. Under **Appearance**, you will also have the option to define the bar colour of the events
7. Click **Save Changes** to apply your settings.

## Viewing Events in Timeline 2.0

---

Once the **Use Events App** option is enabled, the timeline view will display the start and end dates for each event in a new section at the top. Users can easily show or hide this section based on their preferences. Additionally, **New Events** can be added directly from the action toolbar.
